From the Market Manager
Our winter market will begin on November 9th at 10AM. Normally we do the second and fourth Saturdays,November through April, but once in a while we have to do the second and third Saturdays due to either Thanksgiving or Christmas. This year December will be the second and third Saturdays. It will be back in the old monkey house this year. Come in the same Trafton Road entrance that you do for this market.
HIP will be usable during the winter market also. Remember to keep some money in your SNAP account so that you can access your HIP money even before your SNAP benefits are put into your account. Remember, HIP goes from the first of the month to the last of the month.
A face painter for the children will be at the first market from 10-2, free. Another gift from the market.
My Main Squeeze isn’t coming to our market any more this year. You can find her at her shop at 48 Shaker Road in East Longmeadow.
You can freeze cider. Buy extra and pour some out of the container so that when it freezes, it doesn’t break the container.
From November 1st to 3rd, you can go to Cider Days in Franklin County. There are lots of events taking place that weekend. Check it out—ciderdays.org.
